THE BEST stuff to use is a silicon made for toyota and distributed to toyota certified factory service centers. That stuff will hold under heat,friction and all kinds of stuff. When I rebuilt my T-case one of my buddies had a tube from when he worked for them and it still is holding 10 years later and 350,000 miles on it. the hard part is getting a hold of it like tring to pull teeth. good luck
