'Ever notice that 99% of the non-running, project trucks, cars, whatever on internet auctions have no air cleaner on the carb. I'd bet dollars to donuts that the jack has been stolen too!
I've noticed this pattern for more than 40yrs. So where the h... are all those breathers and jacks being stashed? An old salvage operator who's gone on to the big junkyard in the sky once told me that in a really bad wreck, some fool will grab the jack before the ambulance gets to the scene. He never could figure out where they were haulin' them...there's bound to be a pile somewhere...
