That sounds about right, possibly 2002 models also had the H.O. in the 49 states, CA started in 2005 so look at the emissions decal to make sure that it is a "49 state"* truck.

*technically "45 states" because NY, MA, MN and two other New England states have adopted CA emission regulations and their motors suck also....= )
