PTO question

Has anyone here got a PTO extension for an NP-540? This moves the PTO out from the side of the transmission to allow the driveshaft to clear the bellhousing.
OR- What have other folks who have winches who have done the V-8 conversions done? I am not wild about going the hydraulic winch route.
Last question, Who manufactured the Dodge PTOs?
