Has to be the points, ballast resistor, or coil. Wouldn't hurt the condenser. A simple test with an ohmmeter or trouble-light will show if the coil or ballast resistor is open. If you don't have any equipment, put a jumper wire between the coil terminal that doesn't go to the points and the ungrounded terminal of the battery and try to start it. It won't hurt the coil to get its power straight, without going through a ballast resistor, for long enough to see if the engine runs. If it runs, the ballast resistor got burned out. If it still doesn't run, and the points are good, that leaves the coil having gotten burned out. You didn't say what kind of rig it was. Some have no resistor but have a special ignition wire that has enough resistance in it. They're usually pretty obvious when they burn out.
