You just explained the whole problem Allen has.
4.10 rears With the 3.73 he keeps his "foot" in it to keep it rolling. The Od is too much for the clutch when that oil burner is pulling hard and can't hold it.
Most people do not realize the "Huge" amount of torque that engine produces. Also fuel milage suffers. Cummins owners will soon realize when it's time to back out of the throttle, after replacing the clutch,and other drive line components a few times.
The engine does not give up like a "Dura Mouse" or "Power Choke" will.

Your more set up for towing than a truck with 3.73.
