I have a Ford F-800 with the 5.9 turbo (BT6) Cummins. I'm a Ford man ("YES" I admit it") but with the diesel options of the smaller trucks such as they are my vote would be for the Dodge (Cummins) Diesel. I could list reasons why but these have already been posted.
