Glad you asked. We have just finalized the plans. The 8th Annual Texas Power Wagon Reunion will be held April 13 - 16, 2000 at Port Aransas, TX. Port Aransas is a major Gulf Coast resort and we have the city's support. There are many other area attractions to see while you are here. And for you who haven't been having days in the 80's, spend some time on the beach getting warm.
The main event on Saturday, the 15th, will be "Big Toys in the Sand" at the Padre Island National Seashore. The 4x4 area is 55 miles long and consists of lots of sand. Here's a chance for your sand tires to show their stuff.
Our local sponsor is a restaurateur who owns two restaurants and a club. Saturday night's dinner will be a seafood boil. The drought hasn't affected the grazing for our seafood so come on down for a change from that Nebraska beef diet.
It's about five hours south of Fort Hood. There are many motels and campgrounds. You can drive and camp on the beach - for free in some places. There's no registration fees since the facilities are all in place.
