I knew all these old books I have been buying would come in handy someday.
If you have or have access to an older Machinery's Handbook there will be a section in there about Babbitt Bearings. Also any of the Audels books, Millrights, Mechanics, Machinists Guides have a section covering Babbitt bearings. If you can't find anything at the library send me your address and I can copy and mail what I have to you. I can't scan and email because my scanner and myself do not get along. The thing just loves to cause problems. I think it is evil... :-)
