Here we go again.....

I've acquired a bunch of books on WWII that I need to find a new home for....some are quite interesting, especially to a WWII buff. Let me know if you're interested in any of them or have any questions. If my prices are outta whack, let me know.

The Story of D-Day, Bruce Bliven, Jr.
Hardcover young adults book dated 1956. Nice shape, simple text, lots of pictures. Similar to a Hardy Boys book, it's a nice book for someone younger or just for a simple historical read.

Automotive Industries, March 1, 1944
A magazine for the automotive and truck manufacturing industry. This issue is their statistical issue with lots of data on vehicles built and the engines used, etc. A very interesting book due to all the old ads for machinery, bearings, parts, engines, etc. Lots of great pictures and illustrations of old machines and factory interiors. One small (3"x4"?) picture of new military vehicles at Fort Benning, Ga showing various VCs, WCs and other new military vehicles of the Second Armored Division.
Kind of worn and musty, with the spine kind of chewed up. What's interesting is how much the US industries were planning to do with the war effort months before the war.
$15 shipping included

They Call It Pacific, by Clark Lee
365 pages, April 1943, hardcover. A reporter's account of the fighting in the Pacific, produced under wartime conservation orders. No pictures (3 maps), but very descriptive and interesting text on the battles in the Pacific.
Jacket is worn and tattered, but all there. Some yellowing with age.
$10 shipping included

The Fight For Air Power, by William Bradford Huie
320 pages, November 1942, hardcover. A long and thorough discussion on air power before and into the second world war. No pictures, but has 15-20 headshots of major air commanders and pilots.
Jacket is worn and tattered, but complete.
$5 shipping included

Pictorial History of the Second World War, Volume 3
1540 pages, 1946, hardcover. Many unique pictures and maps with descriptive texts. Covers the action in the final year and a half of WWII. Lots and lots of interesting and unique pictures from WWII. An easy book to spend a few late nights paging through.
Cover is dented, water-stained and has some mildew damage, but all the pager are there and not stuck together.
$10 shipping included

I've saved the best for last...

Flying Fortress, by Edward Jablonski.
360 pages, 1965, hardcover. THE best book ever written about the B-17 Flying Fortress. Discusses everything about the planes, from their initial designs to the modifications and actual field usage. Tons of great pictures, charts and illustrations. Sort of a must for a good WWII library, according to a guy I talked who flew on one and is part of a large group of enthusiasts. Another multiple late-nighter.
Jacket is torn and banged up, but very readable.
$20 shipping included.

Like I said, feel free to ask me questions. I hate to have these sitting around when they could be in the hands of someone who really appreciates them. Not to mention that I can always use the $$ for some WC/PW parts. Yes, I'll make a deal if you want more than one!
