When I bought my PW, it had a seat but it was really ratty. While it was at the upholstery shop, I used the original seat out of my '93 Dakota. I took the rails off the bottom and braced it with short pieces of 2X4. It slanted a wee bit to the rear but was otherwise comfortable. It fit perfectly between the doors. The Dakota is just a short amount shorter than the original seat in the PW.
If anybody is thinking about going this route on purpose, I had replaced the sport seat because it was a bit soft for someone of my.....um....maturity. The LE seats were much better and have a center arm rest. This was later changed to SLT nomenclature.
