I thought some of you might be interested in the current status
of my talks with Advance Adapters about the fabrication of a
Ranger Overdrive that will go between the Chevy bellhousing on
my Cummins 4BT and the stock transmission in my '53 M37.

They expect to have the tooling in hand next week to make the
output on the Ranger Overdrive mate to the input shaft on the
M37 transmission next week. They expect to have the units
available to me the last week of February.

I had to buy a couple of the units in order for them to set up
the tooling.

In an effort to make these things adaptable to rigs other than
mine, I'm having Advance Adapters set up the Ranger Overdrives
in the following manner. The front end will match at SM465
transmission. The output will be splined to accept a 1-inch
diameter 10 spline input shaft. The rear face will have a
4.75-inch diameter index hole. The rear face will not have the
transmission mounting bolt holes drilled. Hopefully, this will
allow the unit to be mated up to a wide variety of our rigs.

Give me an email if you want more information
