I am workign on my 51 PW (just purchased it). Drained the oil in the Transfer case and several small and not so small pieces of metal came out with about 1 pint of oil! Removed the Transfer Case and dissasembeled it to find out all of what is wrong. Will need to replace a roller bearing and properly space the tapered roller bearings and some seals but I cannot find where these extra parts came from. In all, I have about a tablespoon full of various size parts. Some look like 1/2 of a round slug that was about 3/8" diameter. Other parts look like the roller spacers of a roller bearing. The gears are all good. Shifting forks all seem well.
Does anyone have an idea of what these are for and what I need to purchase before putting this thing together?
