This was my daily driver from September 97 through July 99. I racked up close
to 54,000 miles. It is a '66 but I like the four headlight grille better so I put it on.
I've kept the other grille in case the next owner wants it. The truck has a '75
318 engine with electronic ignition. We put a new cam, lifters, timing chain set,
oil pump, rings and bearings. The carburetor has been rebuilt. For towing I
installed an over size radiator from a D500 and an 8 bladed fan. The truck
runs cool all the time. The entire body has been sandblasted, primed
and has one coat of acrylic enamel. I got busted spray painting in my yard
so I haven't had a chance to give it another coat yet. The bed has a 1 piece 1/4"
diamond plate floor.
The truck has 7.50X16 road tires all around. It has a later model transfer case
(single lever). It has an LU-2 winch . I've also installed power brakes with a new
dual master cylinder.
Also, I have a wide block 318 - 3 engine that I will let go with the truck. It needs rings
and bearings but it was a good runner when I took it out. I put a new cam and lifters
in it with a timing chain.
The paint is somewhat faded now and there are a few spots on the truck that need attention.
I have new rocker panels for it (not installed). I recently acquired a set of Dana70 8 lug axles
and rims (not installed). I also have an 8' Western plow to go with the truck.
It's a 4 way power angle with the pump mounted on the hoist. . Bracket would have to be made
from the bottom of the plow frame back to the chassis. I do have a brush guard.
