At any rate....the short shaft 727 which is termed a LOADFLITE in trucks and a TORQUEFLITE in cars are pretty universal in design. As long as they are a small block tranni, and short shaft, they'll generally work regardless of year as long as you keep in between say 1971 and 1979 car or truck, without many problems, if any. If, however you're dealing with a married 203 transfer case, be sure to check that intermediate housing....I'm not sure of the output shaft length difference in a married vs. divorced design.
