Rims for 1/2 ton WC and "flat fender" Power Wagons sold with standard weight capacitiy (7600#)were 16 x 5.5. The rest of that package was 7.50 x 16, 8 ply tires and 4.89:1 axle ratios. Those rims can be used without modification in a dual set up with 7.50 tires. "Flat fender" Power Wagons with the optional weight package (8500#) came with 16 X 6.5 rims, 9.00 x 16, 8 ply tires and 5.83:1 axle ratios. To use 16 x 6.5 rims in a dual application, the outside rims must have their offset increased. The standard offset on the inner rims must be retained because rims with increased offset will not clear the brake drums. I have three (3) pairs of 16 X 6.5 rims with increased offset for use in dual applications. One pair is NOS, two pairs are owner modified. I also have pair of 16 x 5.5 rims that had the offset increased so they could be used with the wrong (9.00 x 16) tires. I will trade for straight 16 x 6.5 rims - even exchange on the owner modified rims and $30 difference for the NOS rims. I will trade the NOS rims even for combat rims in very good condition. You pay all shipping to and from Kempner, TX, Zip 76539. If you have extra 6.5 x 16 rims on hand, and the shipping distance is great, it may be cheaper to have them modified Locally. If you do not have extra rims and have to buy some to modify, my offer may be reasonable. I plan to attend the Texas Power Wagon Reunion, and the Rallies in Georgia, Iowa, and Colorado. If you attend any of these, it would avoid shipping costs.
