Before you go wild with Dot 5...... Silicone fluid doesn't absorb water. At first blush this is good, but.... Any water that gets into your system, and over time there will be some, will form watter 'bubbles' in your brake lines. Under stress, these can boil, causing catastrophic brake failure. The bubbles will tend to accumulate in at low points, and can cause the brake lines to corrode from the inside out.

IMHO, your best bet is to use standard Dot 3, and flush the system annually.
