Recently got a WC-40 and trying to decide if the
motor is original.I know later models came with
a 230 as opposed to the 217, but this ones a real
tight fit with some of the front end bolts replaced
with non original + various other signs that it has
been pulled.The numbers on drivers side of the block
right under the head are M230*83500*.Do the first
set of digits mean military 230? I know it is kind
of anal but I would like to know if the motor's build
date matches the truck.Casting # below dist.is 59 4 9
