I have a '70 w300 myself. I paid $800 for a bell,flywheel,starter,etc.
It's a hydralic setup and is apparently more common.
My truck was originally 318/np435 mechanical clutch.
The swap worked out nice, you just remove the cold rivets
from the crossmember brackets and relocate it up front
to support the bellhousing mounts. The brackets share
a common rivet with the leaf spring shackle. The original
bell which I beleive to be aluminum is extremely hard to come by.
There is a dummy plate on the firewall you can remove to
mount the clutch master. You need to modify or replace
the clutch pedal with one for hydralic (different pivot
point). I now have a five speed np545 hanging off the back
of the bell. Let me know if you need pictures.
