I got this note from Robert Metcalf, the former owner of the Crew Cab in the picture:

As you know, the truck is a 1946 WDX, serial number 83901140. The cab is all metal construction and is actually two cabs welded together. The original seat and base are now the
rear seat and the front seat is similar to a school bus seat. The bed was shortened to 5' and the rear fenders were notched around the back wall of the cab. There was no provision
for a spare tire.

The truck was owned by a utility construction company in Madisonville, Kentucky. At one time, they operated several Power Wagons. All of them were pickups and most had racks the
entire length of the truck for hauling utility poles.

Robert has offered to send some more pictures of the truck.
This sounds like a good subject for another page.
