I saw a PW yesteday with the serial no 246 1497206 making
it a 1965. Couple of very usual things about this truck.
It had a square ID plate and a separate plate talking
about getting parts..this was in Spanish and English.
The ID plate said it had a 137HP engine at 3900 RPM.
What was in it was a Spitfire engine with single carb.
The old dual carb dual exhaust Spitfires were rated
in mid 50s at 135 HP at 3600 RPM. The other very unusual
thing was that the front grill part is like a pre-61
PW, not like the later 61-68 (which extended an inch
beyond the radiator shell) that were fitted with
251s. While all this could have been changed, it does
not look like it has, the radiator looks "right" etc.
It was hard to see this very well as there was a lot of
snow, weeds and crap surrounding it.

By the way, this is for sale cheap...low hundreds would
get it I think. The truck is very rusty, but the front
end part looks ok.

Also the trans was identified as a 4SOD N2G...what is
that?

I guessed this was an export truck built to a slightly
different specification....other suggestions?
