No problem. Plenty of room to do this. I put a set of bearings in mine this way. Check the crank to see if it has been ground undersize prior to buying bearings. Loosen all the main caps so they have about .010 clearance from the block. This will provide some lowering of the crank so you can feed the upper main shells in. While you're in there you can rotate the crank and see how much play there is in the timing chain. I used a two piece rear main seal that is rumored to leak but han't leaked a drop in 5000 miles.
