Most starter and automotive shops, or industrial metal
finishing businesses could fix you up with an industria
abrasive blast process which will make them look as
good as they could for a minimal fee, usually $20. here
in PA. For a finish, an industrial plater can offer
many different corrosion resistant coatings, usually
at a minimum lot price ($60 is common), but maybe
someone else on the forum may know what the original
plating may have been.
