I believe tha neutral safety switch on the auto is a check-ball kind of ground contact, goes to ground in neutral. So just hook a wire from that lug to one of the mounting screws. Use a star washer to make sure it stays grounded. While you are at it, put some star washers on your regulator, that's a common problem area.
