Motor and solonoid replaced

I first replaced the solonoid even though that did not look like the problem. It was inexpensive, about $20. The motor as I said, is about $150.

The entire hydraulic unit with motor is about $800 as I recall. At first I thought this is what I would have to replace, but later figured it was just the motor.

If the pump is not working, people suggest changing the fluid, warming it up in case there is frozen water in there and also checking the two filters. The two filters look like bolts on the cab side of the pump, and offset a bit. Unbolt these and clean off the screens which are actually attached to the bolt. It will not leak much when you do this.
