1948 flathead 6 problems. Help!

Do flathead six engines have a reputation for vapor locking/ poor fuel delivery after they are warm and your reving going up a hill for a while? Also,who makes a 6 volt electric fuel pump for the same applicaion?
It could just be some crud in the fuel line that is causing my issues, however, I would like some input from some flathead experts.
