For more lilliputian PW's like Judd's check out the "1/87 Vehicle Club website at http://www.1-87vehicles.org/
1:87 is the scale ratio of prototype to HO model train scale (similar but not exact scale to most "Mathcbox" and similar die-cast cars/trucks. This site is devoted entirely to such model vehicles.
Unfortunately, there's not a lot you can observe on the site without registering, but to do so is cost-free and hopefully harmless.
Once registered, there's a long list of photo galleries to observe. These load fast even over a dial-up modem
Just before Christmas, they had a contest where they picked out the stock out-of-the-box "Busch" (manufacturer) PW model like Judd's and requested submissions of kit-bashed custom versions. They got a nice selection of submissions. 24 photos of the contest winners and other PW models can be viewed by registering and visiting "photo gallery #281" (out of a current total of 286 galleries). You can use the search feature of the site to find "gallery 281", or pick it from the gallery list.
Some of thes models are very realistic, weathered and really cool, and I wonder how many may have been modeled after actual prototypes like ours! There's a dump bed model that looks a lot like "Turtleherder's" If I were a modeler, I would have made a kit-bashed version of John E.'s 6x6 dump ... it woulda been a sure winner ... especially if included on a trialride diorama!
Enjoy, Bruce
