I also used urethane on my windshield. I went the more thrifty route and used black polyurethane caulk. This stuff is really tenacious and if I break a windshield I will end up replacing both halves. The only way I can think of to get it apart would be to heat it up and melt/burn it out. A nasty proposition at best but I feel it can be done without ruining the frame. I would not take it to a glass shop and ask them to disassemble it though. I felt the superior seal was worth the future risk.
