Dan;

Stock Drag Link used on the Carryall.

Back in 2001 when I was rebuilding my Bumblebee and had the Carryall waiting her turn, I bought 2 Saginaw Reverse Rotation PS Boxes from a wrecking yard. They did not have the 72-77 Dodge Saginaw, so I took the GM/ Saginaw. I sent both boxes to AGR Performance Power Steering for mods. When it came time to install the PS in the Bumblebee, I found that the PW Pitman Arm would not fit properly on the GM/Saginaw Box. I call AGR and told them of my problem. I then learned that the output and input shafts on Saginaw Boxes are different by application.

Back in 2001, AGR was much smaller. They suggested that I send them both Dodge Pitman arms and they would try to match them up with Pitman Arms they had collected. If they could find a close match, they would simple swap mine out since I had them rebuild 2 boxes. They were able to get good matches and I was all set. I called them to find out what the arms came off, they had no idea, as they were just in a big box of used Arms. So I have no idea what GM Vehicle used the arms that closely match the PW/WC Arms.

Fast forward to 2006. I needed a new Pitman arm for the M-37 with the GM/Saginaw Box. I called AGR, they no longer have/keep/supply used Pitman Arms for old vehicles. They have some newer ones, but you have to know exactly what you want.

If you can find a 72-77 Saginaw Box off a Dodge, the PW/WC Pitman arm will fit. If you get a GM/Saginaw Box you will need to find a close match arm for PW/WC. The GM Boxes are much easier to find in this area.

As a point of info; The GM/Saginaw output shaft is a taper. Starting at the threaded end the diameter is 1 3/16" and tapers to 1 1/4" at the Box end. The splines are every 10 degrees, with 1 spline missing every 90 degrees.
