Talk about abominations, I have a 4" flexible duct running from the heater mounted under the glove compartment and through the hole in the dash next to the glove compartment. Then I pull it out and direct the duct and heat as needed, on me, my passenger, or the windshield. When not needed it tucks back in nicely behind the dash, without have abominable plumbing running all over the place disturbing the finely decorated ambiance of the military interior. The heater is an M151 heater, forget the mfg., but I had to remove and reinstall fan housing and outlet to rotate about 90 degrees to bring the outlet more forward. The original position was towards the firewall. Yes my system gets laughed at, but form follows function.
