two axle 9,999 GVW hitch type trailer with a 3/4 ton Ford E-350 van many times over distances of 500-1200 miles with no problems, I always use load equilizer bars and the four wheel trailer brakes are a necessity as well as prudent driving! I think the heaviest besides the Case Backhoe in the picture.. was a WC-63 Dodge 6x6 with the bed loaded with spare axle housings and several engine blocks, and other dodge parts..!! I could really tell on the hills! Otherwise, the WW2 Chevy 1.5 ton complete w/bed and winch seemed to be heavier than any W500 I ever hauled...but all the W500s I ever had were equipped with flat beds..
