Yep, it was tough getting a date from the park this year. Normally I call just after the first of the year and start working out a date with the contact at the park. But, they called me first this year (new person in charge) and gave me a date. Well, it was Mother's Day weekend and along with losing three out of the six committee members, we were worried that it would conflict with plans of many attendees. All other dates around that time were taken or should I say already given out. It was either a lot earlier or a lot later. We felt that taking a chance on warm weather was better than taking a chance on wet cold weather.
