Brian;
I use 3/16" brake lines on all my trucks with disk brakes. My routing from the firewall mounted Brake Master Cylinder/Booster is as follows;

The rear brake line runs down the fireall and then along the inside of the frame to the rear cross member above the axle housing. It terminates above the centered third member. Then it connects to
a WAGNER BH107281 or F107281 flexible brake hose 23" long with a female 3/16" fitting. The other end of the Wanger hose has a 'Y' with (2) 3/16 female brake line fittings. The Wagner Hose assembly also has a 7/16" hole in the 'Y' end so fit on the long stud on the third member housing for mounting. Each rear brake line follows the axle housing to the 'Y' hose assembly. The Wagner Hose assembly is to allow for axle housing movement. The front is exactly the same, with routing from the MC across the firewall, down to the frame and forward. The Wagner Hose assembly attaches to the 3/16" line at the frame rail and the other end is mounted on the Differential housing with the long 7/16" stud. Does all that make sense ? It does to me ha ha . If you measure your needed lengths, you can get sections at NAPA with nuts. You will only need one joiner to go to the rear.

Further you CAN NOT and Should NOT use, used CLIPS ( U Bolts) The U Bolts are designed in the threads to be tightened/torqued once. The Deep Nuts damage the threads for re-use. New Clips ( U Bolts, can be bought at major truck suppliers or truck spring businesses. They are cheap, I pay about $8.00 each. You will not find the forged style, you will have to settle with the Square Bend style , bent to your length. Give the supplier a sample and they will duplicate it with no problems. Remember.....NEVER re-use a Axle U Bolt (CLIP) once tightened/torqued.

Check out the link below and read about U Bolts/CLIPS. This is what a large maker of U Bolts has to say about them. Trust what they say.
