Black means your choke is stuck and you're burning too much gas. Pull the air filter and watch the choke plate as you rev it manually from the linkage. ( While warmed up)Could be sticking due to linkage interference, heat riser issues, or if it's electric, bad wire, connection, or choke failure.
Blue smoke is from burning oil. Yes, hotter plug.
