I read your posts in WW2 forum and you said you changed plugs and it got much better. Have you set your dwell with a meter to the correct setting? Flatheads will run with the dwell being WAY off but it needs to be right. jsut setting with feeler guage is not enough. I believe the dwell setting is 38 degrees, AKA Cam angle in older books
