I used a slide hammer to pull a leaking pinion seal on my M37. I used two 1/4" standard threaded bolts, then used the slide hammer to gently tap the seal out. One thin gI learned though with this method, "don't use the 12 and 6 o'clock position for the holes or you'll have gear oil leak all over the place. Use a 3 and 9 o'clock for this.
Just remember if you're going to drill into the seal, only drill into the first layer of metal(I'm assuming the seals are similar to an M37 on a civvy truck)
