This Power Wagon is in exceptional condition.

The truck is now on display at a classic car mall located in Dallas, Texas. It was photographed for the 2004 J.C. Penny catalog. While some would consider it a “trailer queen”, I believe it qualifies as an honest example of a generous restoration.

It has gone through an extensive restoration using correct NOS and reproduction parts from Vintage Power Wagons.
It has a reproduction tailgate, but all other body panels are original.

* New glass.
* Completely rebuilt MU-2 winch with 150 ft. of ½” cable.
* Doors and windows operate properly.
* The interior appears new, with medium brown seat upholstery.
* All gauges work.
* Bed walls are straight and new 5/4 white oak is installed with stainless retaining hardware.
* New bearing seals in drive train components.
* Brakes have been redone with new wheel cylinders.
* Military type tires have less than 500 miles.
* All relevant numbers match.

A rear tail shaft was fabricated for use with the correct pillow block and bearing hanger. Also included is one of 100 (as I am told) original bronze tail shaft covers (The installation was performed by someone highly respected in the Power Wagon community located in north Texas). (Pierce Governor assembly new-in-box available.)

Since photos taken, correct NOS mirror arms installed. The engine has been completely rebuilt and runs very smoothly. It has a new wiring harness and the original oil filter. While still 6-volt, I have the 12V conversion kit from Vintage including lamps, alternator, headlights, belt, etc.

The paint is excellent for year, but could use compounding. There is no rust.

Original build sheet (11/5/47) from Los Angeles indicates:

* Color, Red
* Deluxe Oil filter
* Dual Tail Lamps
* Dual Electric Windshield Wipers
* Winch
* PTO
* Rear Shocks
* Radiator overflow tank (now missing)
* 4:89 Axle ratio (Current 9.00-16 wheels dated 1952)
