I saw Brokeback Mountain last night, and for me the most exciting part was the brief shots of the green FF PW.
My movie companion was getting annoyed at me after a while, because I kept saying, "oh there is the PW again" every time it showed up.
It was a green flatbed truck with a winch, and I think it was a 230 truck, but the shots of it were so short I could not be sure.
The projectionist was not overly interested in fulfilling my request to back up the movie and play the PW part over and over again until I could figure out what model it was. :-(
A lot of the trucks in the movie were all wrong, the first scene was supposed to take place in 1963, and true to the times most of the drivers were early 50s trucks. The problem was that one truck you see over and over is a half primered, worn out and abandoned looking 1963ish Chevy pickup. Even a Chevy does not wear out that fast.
Then there were a few other new for that time trucks that looked like they were 20 years old. I think someone just asked for old trucks, and did not think about the year of them in relation to when the story took place.
