I would bet anything that the .745 3053 shaft was designed for an easy fit into a .750 pilot bushing. I checked one 3053 I have and measured .747-.748 at various points. So I will make the inside of the bushing .750.

Can you measure the actual size of the hole in the flywheel that the old shaft went into? What I don't want to do is end up making you one that's so tight you have to drive it in with a hammer and then you can't get it out in the future. Of course it shouldn't be sloppy loose either.

I'm also a little confused if the OD of the new bushing is the same as the old transmission shaft, then did the old shaft not go into a bushing? Or are you trying to put a bushing inside a bushing? Otherwise wouldn't you want a bushing whose OD is the size of the bushing hole in the flywheel rather than one whose OD is ths size of the old transmission shaft?
