I'm pretty sure our Olds '98 had a 4 barrel. It was what they called a "Kettering" engine. The first time I drove it out of the city was when I went hiking with my buddy east of the mountains, and it was real hard to keep it under 80 mph. Once you got past 70 it really wanted to get serious about going. It wasn't much for cornering, but considering what a massive hunk of Detroit iron it was it would do an impressive job of accellerating. I ended up driving it to high school where the kids called it the "Sherman tank". It was getting to be kind of a beater by then. I would've rather drove the 60 T-bird but dad wouldn't let me.
