Engine mounting advice needed...

I'm thinking of fitting a Isuzu 6BD1 Diesel in a W300, and looking at options as far as mounting. The transmission is a Spicer 3053 OD. The input shaft splines in the spicer are 1/8" longer that the splines on the 4 speed that came off the back of the engine. I'm having a spacer ring cut on a water jet machine, and thinking about having them cut engine mount ears on to the bottom of the spacer for mounting like the early 318's saddle mount.
The other option is to make a single point mount on the back of the transmission, but it dosent seem a solid, as there's only 3 or 4 bolts holding a bearing retainer cover on that I could utilize.
So the question is, would it be better to use a 4 point mount with the mount being the front of the engine, and the Bell/flywheel housing... or a 3 point mount using the front of the engine and the back of the transmission?
Sorry for the artwork...
