Keith:

All I can say is the week before I brought it into the steal. er, dealers for the valvebody, we had the front wheels off and everything looked fine. While at the steal, er, ah, dealer's (I can't seem to get that slip out of my mind), they called to say my brakes needed to be replaced. When I mentioned the mileage I was told the rotors had rusted. Amazing what'll happen in a week. Also, when I got it home (oh, I nixed them on the brake job), the cover for the master was on, but not secured.

I also have the Rancho RS 9000 shocks with the remote. It no longer works and I have since discovered damaged shock bushings, which explains the clunking sound when going over bumps and other front end issues which another steal, (there I go again) dealer said was the lower ball joints, which are still intact.

I guess the higher cost was that I replaced those parts with heavier duty, non factory parts. I didn't go with the slotted or drilled rotors, but a thicker, larger one. There was no doubt that the parts removed were not salvagable. I just wish I had taken pictures BEFORE I went to the steal, (AGAIN) dealers. I didn't want to replace the bad stuff with the same crap that went bad in such a short time.

Later
