Thanks for the reality check. I called the local (to me) Ford Dealer today and they quoted $350 per axle. This is a big dealer and I used to have a Ford and had them do some work on it. They aint cheap! I would have a hard time shelling out 700 bucks for such a simple job, but thats because I know how to do it. I will let you all know what the invoice says when I get a copy of it. Should be fun reading.
I know these guys are in it to make a profit, and I dont begrudge then that. I own my own business and am certainly in business to make money. Maybe there is a forum somewhere where someone is trashing one of my invoices without knowing all the facts. So, I will wait to see their invoice!
