I have a 95 4x4 v6 automatic, runs great, paint is still good except some scratches, trans has never been replaced, mileage is 17 to 21. the book says its time to adjust the trans bands, (121,000 miles) I think if I do this the trans will last much longer. problem is most people don't do recommended service, and they don't make automatics like they used to. I talked with a tranny shop about it when I first bought it and they said that they rarely replace Dakota trannys compared to everything else.
