I've heard that is one option, though neither convenient nor economical. One of the main reasons to mill your own lumber is so you can make it right near where you're going to use it. Also, lumber must be planed to be graded (or legally used in construction), which means either buying a large production planer (typically 4-sided) or taking it to a planing mill to be planed. The practical result is it's illegal to build your own house out of lumber you milled yourself.
