I had a minor brain-burp this weekend when I decided to take 'Rusty' the M37 snowplow truck out for the joy ride with Digger..aside from having all the fun we did, the starter failed during one of our final jaunts. I got it removed yesterday to find the endbell on the bendix drive had broken off causing the starter to bind and eventually fry from attempts to use it..It is a mdified 12v starter w/ solenoid type operation. Anyway, I was going to take it into Twin Falls today for rebuild, and of course, when I woke up today it was snowing quite heavily! The weather said a foot or better today alone!! Yes, I forgot about rule #2, NEVER play in a truck you may need for work! Oh well, if the snow keeps up I will find an old 6v PW starter and throw it in!!! With a floor button too!
