South & Jones is the local sawmill here on the edge of town. They mostly make rough sawn lumber and stove pellets out of the waste. This is still a very active business and run wide open year round. There are 2 more active sawmills in the Bridger Valley about 30 miles away.
I saw an ad in the latest local paper where a saw mill in Livingston, Montana was wanting to buy timber and timbered lands in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.
