I was driving down Imperial Hwy in Norwalk Ca. yesterday It's a six lane street and traffic was moderate. I pulled up behind a car stopped at a cross street. The lights were in 4-way red flash mode . I waited a bit and when the car in front of me didn't move I tapped my horn. The driver of the car turned in her seat and gave me an exasperated expression. Thinking she was having car trouble I walked up to her window and asked what the problem was. She said " Are you stupid ? Can't you see the train?" I looked ahead and sure enough there was a long string of rail cars rolling across the bridge over the road. I told the woman I was sorry for the intrusion, walked back to my truck and went around her and drove through the underpass.
During our exchange at least fifty cars went past us.
I realized as I was driving away , that I forgot to give her sign to her.
