What you did was to have the crank reground so the rod journal centers were farther from the main center line. Maybe 1/16 tp 1/8th inch. Then, since the pistons would hit the head, the rods are shortened- heat the center section red hot, put in a pres, and squish to shorten. Hence the term "hot tod". I did this to a Honda 350 thumper, with boring made it umm...430?
Or you could find a longer stroke crank, like puting a chevvy 400 crank and rods into a 350, getting...387? 383?
