After putting a humongous MU-5 ($150, with PTO) on the front of my 1/2t command car, it was a bit low. So, back to the junk yard, where I bought one spring pack (from an ambulance, wrapped, $20, 1977) I torched the eyes off the ends, dissassembled all tree packs, and shuffled the three into two, adding 2-3 leafs to each side. Ride height was back near normal.

Beware of new springs with fewer , but thicker, leafs. They will ride too stiff, be too 'progressive', while many thinner leafs will be softer.
